Chip Meyers recognizes the benefits of entrepreneurship by helping guide people on their own path to self-sufficiency and financial freedom. Meyers spent 30 years traveling the globe as a sales and marketing executive before hitting a wall in his own career. Disillusioned by his tenure in the corporate world, Meyers realized he needed to find a career that would allow him to create success for himself. He wanted a fulfilling role that would provide him with work-life balance and allow him to limit or eliminate business travel.
“Secretly, I never enjoyed selling. I’m an introvert,” Meyers said. “Now I can see there’s a lot of people just like me analyzing their career options. I can help them and not be selling them a product or service. After managing teams for years, I just wanted to be responsible for myself for a change.”

Meyers attended Wake Forest University and worked in executive-level sales and management positions for a variety of companies throughout his career, primarily in supply chain and packaging, prior to opening his coaching franchise. He started his coaching career in May 2018 with The Entrepreneur’s Source® and has embraced the advantages of working for himself at home. “I have been socially distancing since long before it was trendy,” Meyers said.
While he does work alone in a home office, Meyers spends his days on the phone diligently forging personal connections with people who are trying to find a career that will be satisfying and give them the income they need. At any given time, Meyers will be helping numerous people who are on the cusp of business ownership. “I have no regrets about pursuing a career as a franchise business owner,” Meyers said. “I’m unemployable in the corporate world because I never want to do anything different than I’m currently doing. My only regret is that I didn’t exit the corporate world sooner.”

Navigating business ownership through franchising provided a roadmap for Meyers. Franchising gave him a proven business model and game plan. It allowed him to hit the ground running and grow his business. “Franchising gives you a way to leapfrog past all the early-stage startup concerns. It’s a great option for people who want to achieve the benefits of business ownership but lack a big idea for a business,” Meyers said.
Since opening his career ownership franchise, Meyers worked hard to create relationships with people who are undergoing a career transition. One of his clients, Craig Bagby, found himself at a crossroads in his career when he reached out to Meyers for help. Bagby wanted to make a break from the corporate world and start his own business. Meyers helped open Bagby’s eyes to the possibilities of franchising. He introduced him to options that fit with Bagby’s goals and vision.
“Trying to weed through all of the confusion and data on various franchisors is virtually impossible for someone to do on their own. Chip helped me slow down and make my decision based on all of the facts. Without his guidance, I would’ve made the wrong decision,” Bagby said. “Chip and I had a good rapport and trust. I can never pick a time where he nudged me in one direction. The process never felt like a process.”
Bagby opened his franchise with Concrete Craft in October 2019 and is capitalizing on current home improvement trends to achieve success. As more people spend time socializing outside, Bagby’s phone is ringing with requests for people hoping to enhance their outdoor space.
